Mochi Tsuki t-shirt

When people get together to make mochi it's called "Mochi Tsuki."
Most commercial mochi is made by machine. Mochi made the old fashioned way is pounded in a wood or granite bowl with wooden mallets.
Design on front only.

Girl Power/Fish t-shirt, frontGirl Power/Fish t-shirt, back

Girl Power/Fish t-shirt

This shirt paraphrases an age-old saying that I find especially appropriate when directed at girls. “ Give a girl a fish and she eats for a day. Teach a girl to fish and she eats for a lifetime.”Learning is empowerment. You Go Girl!!

Good Eye t-shirt

GOOD EYE t-shirt

"Good Eye" is one of those gracious, super supportive sayings used to build up the confidence of your teammates. Basically it's used when the pitched ball is obviously out of the strike zone (and they didn't swing at it) or when it's a really close pitch and your player doesn't offer at it. The companion saying to GOOD EYE is "Wasn't Yours" for the ball that is called a strike but not swung at.

Baseball/FLAG t-shirt

One of the things I love best about baseball is its ability to bring together people of many different backgrounds and interests. I love the 7th inning stretch at a ballgame and that moment when the crowd rises as one to sing “Take Me Out To The Ballgame.” There’s no place like home.

Bad Hop t-shirt, frontBad Hop t-shirt, back

Bad Hop t-shirt

I love baseball for many reasons one of which is the graciousness and built in encouragement of the language when playing the game. You may or may not have been able to field that ground ball but when you come back to the dugout your teammates will shake their heads and say “bad hop.” A close pitch that is called a ball grants you a “good eye” and the close one that is a strike – “wasn't yours.”

Bonds jersey frontBonds jersey back

Bonds/GIANTS jersey

With the cloud of doubt hovering over Barry Bonds due to his alleged steroid use following the 1998 season it is very challenging to be a Barry fan these days. For a die-hard Giants fan like me it's as if someone in your family has been accused of wrong doing and you have to stick up for them no matter what. Well, after reading excerpts from the newly published book "Game of Shadows" I have to face the possibility that my favorite player is in fact a scoundrel and a cheat. When I designed this shirt in 2003 I was in full admiration of this man. Now I'm torn.

SFMOMA t-shirt, frontSFMOMA t-shirt, back

SFMOMA Installation Crew t-shirt

I worked for a few years as an installation technician at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. It’s pretty interesting what goes on behind the scenes at a major art institution and the amount of preparation it takes to pull off a show. As one might imagine of folks who hang pictures for a living, we crew members got pretty attached to our levels – IN THE BUBBLE WE TRUST. Limited quantities.
